Developing Catchers Mindset, Movement and Confidence
WELCOME TO IRON CATCHING
Mission Statement
At Iron Catching, Coach Steve’s mission is to develop high-level catchers through expert instruction, individualized training, and a commitment to excellence.
He’s dedicated to helping overlooked athletes transform their game — building the skills, discipline, and mindset needed to lead behind the plate and succeed beyond it.
What Most Catchers Are Missing
Mindset
The toughness, confidence, and leadership it takes to control the game.
Build
The movement, mechanics, and habits that create consistency under pressure.
Perform
The ability to compete, adapt, and execute when it matters most.
If this sounds like you, keep reading — every Iron Catcher is built on these three pillars to develop what most players overlook.
Results That Speak for Themselves
RECEIVING
Developing the skill to sharpen receiving technique and win more strikes for your pitcher.
BLOCKING
Building the mindset and movement to control the dirt and play with confidence under pressure.
THROWING
Developing stronger arms and quicker exchanges — leading to
0.10–0.25 second pop-time decrease
2–4 MPH arm strength increases
5–10% boost in throw-out percentage across in-season performance.
From mindset to movement to performance — Coach Steve’s Goal is to build complete catchers.

What makes Iron Catching different?
Iron Catching isn’t about running drills — it’s about developing complete catchers. We train how you move, think, and lead. Every athlete learns to compete with confidence and control the game from behind the plate. -
Do you help with recruiting and exposure?
Yes. I’ve worked with catchers who’ve gone on to play college and professional baseball. I help athletes create high-quality video breakdowns, build relationships with programs, and understand how to stand out the right way.
